SDP unveils winners of the Student Campus Organizations’ Evaluation and Exhibit S.Y. 2018-2019

The Annual Student Campus Organizations’ Evaluation and Exhibit highlights diversity and camaraderie among Centralians.

Following the booth exhibits and presentations of the different student organizations held at the Alumni Concert Promenade Park on February 6 to 7, 2019, the Student Development Programs headed unveils its list of front-runners who have represented their respective organizations with excellence and commitment.

Here are the winners:

Most Outstanding Adviser, to receive Php 3,000

Ms. Prof. Joan Iven Abello, Special Education Society

Outstanding Advisers – to receive Php 1,500.00 each

  • Academic Category – Ms. Prof. Joan Iven Abello, Special Education Society

Most Outstanding Student Organization, to receive Php 10,000.00

The annual Student Campus Organizations’ Evaluation and Exhibit is a celebration of diversity and student initiative. It is a witness of Central Philippine University’s dedication of providing a venue for holistic learning and experience. Also, the competitions are recognitions of the hard work and dedication given by the students and advisers in promoting and initiating student participation.

CPU receives an award as Outstanding Blood Services Partner of the Year by Red Cross

CPU continues its dedication in supporting causes related the National Voluntary Blood Service Program.

Central Philippine University was awarded the Outstanding Blood Services Partner of the Year by the Philippine Red Cross-Western Visayas Regional Blood Center during the 20th Blood Donors Recognition & Awarding Ceremony held at the Iloilo Convention Center on August 3, 2018.

Dr. Elmer Q. Pedregosa, Hospital Director of Iloilo Mission Hospital receiving the award in behalf of CPU.

This national award was given to the highly distinguished service in the promotion of the Philippine Red Cross’ voluntary blood donation program for more than 10 years. CPU was represented by Dr. Elmer Q. Pedregosa, a member of CPU’s Board of Trustees and Director of Iloilo Mission Hospital, and Mr. Jojee Roy T. Juarez, Adviser of the CPU College Red Cross Youth and Secretary and at the same time a member of the Board of Directors of the Philippine Red Cross Iloilo Chapter. They were joined by two CPU Blood Ambassadors, Ms. Clarissa Joy Navarette and Mr. Johden Evalle, both from the College of Business and Accountancy. The award was presented by Dr. Dennise Roy M. Pasadilla, MD, PRC-WVRBC Manager.

CPU was also awarded a Plaque of Recognition for laudable achievement in the National Voluntary Blood Services Program 2017 by the Department of Health-Region VI last August 1, 2018 at Punta Villa Resort, Iloilo City. This award was received by Ms. Dimpna C. Castigador, OIC, Office of the President.
